Exporting Bybit statements for an Italian tax adviser: which reports to download and how to label them
Whether your adviser prepares the declaration for you or only reviews it, the first conversation usually starts with the same request: send everything for the year. Sending a handful of screenshots leads to follow-up questions and longer billable hours. Bybit lets you export the underlying data, and with a little organisation you can deliver a package that answers most questions before they are asked. This guide covers the preparation only; the treatment of each item is a matter for your adviser and the current rules.
Decide which reports cover your activity
Start by listing what you did on Bybit during the year: spot trades, derivatives, deposits and withdrawals of crypto, euro deposits or withdrawals, earn products, and any rewards. Each type tends to live in a different history section under Assets or Orders. Download the spot trade history, the derivatives closed profit and loss and transaction records if you traded contracts, the deposit and withdrawal records, and the history for earn products. Bybit's help center explains where each export is found and the period limits per file.
Export the full calendar year without gaps
Request each report for the whole calendar year, splitting the range if the exchange limits how many months fit in one file. Open every CSV and check that it starts on the first of January and ends on the thirty-first of December, and that months with activity are not missing. Note the time zone used in the file, because a trade late in the evening on the last day of the year can fall into a different year depending on whether the file uses UTC or Italian time.
Name and package the files clearly
Rename each file with a consistent pattern such as bybit, report type and year, and put them in a single folder. Add a short text note listing your account UID, the report types included and anything unusual, such as a transfer from another platform or a wallet you control. If you moved funds between Bybit and other services, include the transaction IDs so the adviser can follow the trail. A clear index often matters more to an adviser than the format of the data itself.
Keep your own copy and repeat each quarter
Store the same folder in a place you can find next year, together with the adviser's reply. Exports can be regenerated later, but accounts get closed, interfaces change and older data can become harder to retrieve. Doing a quick export every quarter turns the year-end task into a check of files you already have, and it lets you spot missing or odd entries while you still remember what they were.
Risk boundary: Bybit Italy Guide
Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. A referral link only records attribution; it does not guarantee access, pricing, rewards, approval or investment results. Availability can differ by residence, legal entity and product, so no regional access is assumed from language or branding alone.
Scenario checkpoint
- List every type of Bybit activity you had during the year before exporting anything.
- Export each report for the full calendar year and check the first and last dates and the time zone.
- Name files consistently and add a note with your UID, report types and related transaction IDs.
- Keep your own archive and repeat the export quarterly so year-end becomes a quick check.
