Bybit login alerts and device review: catch problems early
Strong passwords and two-factor codes protect the front door, but you also want to know when somebody knocks. Bybit can notify you about logins, new devices and withdrawals, and it keeps a list of devices and sessions connected to your account. Many users never look at either. Setting them up takes a few minutes and gives you a chance to react while a problem is still small, rather than learning about it from an empty balance.
Turn on the notifications that matter
In the Bybit app, open your profile and look for notification settings. Make sure alerts for logins, new devices, security changes and withdrawals are switched on, both as push notifications and by email if possible. Check that your phone allows notifications from the Bybit app; many phones silence apps that have not been opened for a while. Set the anti-phishing code in the security menu so you can recognise genuine Bybit emails.
Know what a suspicious alert looks like
An alert for a login from a city you have not visited, a device you do not own or a time when you were asleep is worth acting on immediately. So is an email about a security change you did not make. Do not use links inside a suspicious email; instead open the Bybit app directly and check the security page. Remember that fake alerts are also used by scammers, so the anti-phishing code is your quick way to tell them apart.
Review devices and sessions
In the security section, open the device management list. It shows devices that have signed in and, in many cases, the approximate location and the last activity. Remove anything you do not recognise and anything you no longer use, such as an old phone or a work computer. If you share a computer at home, sign out after each session. Doing this review once a month takes two minutes.
What to do after a real warning
If you believe someone else has signed in, change your password from the app, reset your two-factor authentication, remove unknown devices and check the withdrawal address list for entries you did not add. If withdrawal whitelisting was off, turn it on. Then contact Bybit support from inside the app with the time of the alert and what you have changed. Speed matters more than perfection at this point.
Risk boundary: Bybit Italy Guide
Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. A referral link only records attribution; it does not guarantee access, pricing, rewards, approval or investment results. Availability can differ by residence, legal entity and product, so no regional access is assumed from language or branding alone.
Scenario checkpoint
- Enable login, device, security and withdrawal alerts in the Bybit app and by email.
- Set an anti-phishing code and open the app directly when an alert looks wrong.
- Remove unknown or unused devices from the device list once a month.
- After a real warning, change the password, reset 2FA and check the address list.
